The Island Collection – Executive Director

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced arts / culture / heritage manager and fundraiser to help implement the Isle of Wight’s new Cultural Strategy and deliver The Island Collection’s (TIC) key objectives as an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.

The Island Collection’s Core Programme of Activity 2023-26

  • Championing the agreed joint action plan for the Cultural Strategy for the Isle of Wight, working closely in partnership with key stakeholders including Isle of Wight Council and the Island’s other NPO organisations to ensure
  • Aligned to the Cultural Strategy, delivering the three strands of activity pertaining to TIC’s new status as an ACE National Portfolio Organisation, supporting the Island’s arts, culture, heritage sector and UNESCO Biosphere status.
  • Overseeing the Island’s Cultural Education Partnership (CEP) including staff, stakeholders, partners and event programme.
  • Investing in the future of the Isle of Wight by nurturing creative talent, connecting with the creative industries and protecting the mental wellbeing of young people.

Salary: £45-50,000 full time equivalent.

Hours: to be negotiated, expected 0.8 to full time.

Benefits: optional 4% contributory pension scheme, 5 weeks paid holiday (pro rata).

Contract length: fixed term three years.

Payments: monthly in arrears.

Reporting to: The Chair, The Island Collection and the Board of Trustees.

Direct Reports: IWCEP Programme Manager and Creative Network Development Manager, plus other administrative support, to be agreed.
