Arts and Strategy Manager
Quay Arts Centre – Isle of Wight
£13ph – Part time : Minimum 16 hours per week (flexible) with a view to develop and expand the role after a successful 3 month probationary period

This is a great opportunity to be part of a friendly and enthusiastic team, working in an exciting and varied environment. Quay Arts is the Isle of Wight’s leading arts centre, situated in a converted 19th century brewery complex, next to the river Medina in Newport.

We house various exhibition and live events spaces, as well as a popular café and craft shop. In addition, our studio complex and workshop/education facilities (Jubilee Stores) are located nearby.

We are now looking to appoint a dynamic Arts and Strategy Manager who will play a lead role in planning and evaluating our artistic programme, as well as being responsible for overseeing learning and participation and pursuing future fundraising opportunities. The successful applicant will work closely with the Centre Manager, as well as being responsible for a small and highly skilled Arts team.

They will also work collaboratively with other Island arts and heritage organisations to plan and deliver Island wide projects. We are looking for an experienced individual to deliver and develop our arts policy and strategic vision.

About Quay Arts Centre

The Quay Arts Centre is situated in a converted 19th-Century brewery warehouse complex at the head of the River Medina in the centre of Newport.

Refurbished in 1997 by award winning architect Tony Fretton, our facilities include three galleries, a 134-capacity theatre, a Crafts Council-listed gift shop and popular Café Bar with a reputation for serving some of the best home-cooked food on the Island. Business conferencing facilities are also available, and the Centre is licensed for weddings and civil partnerships.
