Overview

Salary grade: MPR

We are seeking a well-qualified and highly motivated Humanities Teacher. You will have a passion for teaching Humanities, and will be able to motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work and achieve high academic standards.

As the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them. In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes. You will also be entitled to the following benefits: a health cash plan, vehicle affinity scheme, childcare vouchers and Westfield rewards.

World class professional development
The provision of world class professional development is at the very top of Sandown Bay Academy’s agenda. We firmly believe that personal and professional growth is key to our success as an organisation. Our vision is strongly supported by a shared commitment to this ethos across our family of AET Academies.

The networking and professional development opportunities provided by our organisation are second to none. You will be well supported towards completing nationally recognised middle or senior leadership qualifications to further your own development. There are also excellent opportunities to become involved in supporting ITT through our Schools Direct programme.

Creative collaboration and partnership
This is an opportunity to make a difference within an academy that is ever improving and striving to make our best better.

If you share our Academy’s vision and ambitions, have a desire to work within an ethos of creative collaboration and partnership and want to have a positive impact on young people, families and the community, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Island life
The Isle of Wight is an area of outstanding natural beauty which provides a fantastic quality of life, access to a diverse range of sporting and leisure activities, very accessible property prices and a richness of culture that is hard to beat.

With frequent and convenient transport links by sea and rail to the mainland, it really is the best of both worlds. Visits to the Academy are welcomed – why not come and see for yourself all we have to offer?

The position is due to commence September 2017.

Closing date: Friday 30 June 2016

In line with our safeguarding practices we are unable to accept CVs. For further information on this position and to make an application please visit our Website.
