Overview

The Isle of Wight Council is currently recruiting for Social Workers. You will join our established team and work in what is a highly rewarding environment on the dynamic Isle of Wight.

We have made a substantial investment in social work, increasing the numbers of social workers and decreasing caseloads. We have Family Intervention Teams with adult mental health workers and substance misuse workers who work with adults in the family alongside the child’s social worker. We also have Social Worker Personal Assistants who provide dedicated business administrative support direct to social workers.

You will have access to extensive quality training and professional development. You will be working alongside experienced social workers and managers under the professional guidance and supervision of Hampshire County Council. Hampshire County Council has been rated as outstanding in their leadership and management following their last Ofsted inspection. Hampshire has been selected as one of only eight local authorities in the country to be a Partners in Practice by the Department for Education.
