Overview
A highly motivated Engineering Technician is required to join a small team working on projects relating to the offshore renewable energy and oil and gas industries.
Candidates should have an engineering qualification at level 3 or above (BTEC Level 3 Diploma or equivalent) and at least three years experience working in an engineering environment.
The role will involve solving practical engineering problems, contributing to design and development, prototype manufacture and commissioning.
Computer skills (MS Word, Excel etc) are essential and experience using CAD software will be an advantage.
An innovative and imaginative approach together with the ability to work flexibly and independently are also important.
The position will be based at the well equipped STL Research facility in Cowes.
